Egg Recall

Here is an up to date listing of the companies that are recalling their eggs...

Hmmm...glad we now have our own chickens...we can't wait for egg production to begin so we are in sole control of our egg needs...

If you aren't raising your own poultry yet, perhaps now is a time to reconsider it...for your healths sake!!!

  1. Amen to that! Yours should be laying pretty soon shouldnt they? They look about the right size. Their butts get bigger when they start laying. A lot like women actually...lol.

  5. Just feed them regular laying hen crumbles from Tractor Supply. Oh and watermelon, they love watermelon and corn on the cob. They like anything with seeds actually except for the green peppers hubby tried to feed them...I told him they wouldnt touch them and they didnt...more compost! We went to the local farmer's market and they happened to be throwing out some of the bruised veggies. Just have to ask and you'd be surprised what you can get for nothing! :)

  6. Denise, thanks for the advice!!! We actually ran into a fellow at Tractor Supply that "used" to work there and "was" their expert chicken guy and he told us exactly that. So now they are on laying mesh...but still NO EGGS yet!!!
